As proved in problem 8.13: the eigenvalues of [math]A[/math] and [math]A^T[/math] are identical, and [math]MM^T[/math] = [math](M^TM)^T[/math] so the eigenvalues of [math]MM^T[/math] are the same as that of [math]M^TM[/math].
Their eigenvector set regarding each eigenvalue is the same, but because each eigenvalue has infinite numbers of different eigenvectors, so their eigenvectors is not guaranteed to be the same.
